Objective
To find a way of creating a great first impression whilst leaving important company information, useful branded products and a fun gift with clients that were engaged.
Attending trade shows to meet current contacts as well as new potential clients and service providers can be expensive but is an important way to create new business and keep up to date with industry news.
The main goal was to have merchandise that would not date too quickly and was versatile. It would be used in a number of scenarios including attending events, general meetings, visiting customers and would also be sent to clients after sales calls or virtual meetings.
Ultimately, raising awareness, the profile of the company and its capabilities whilst incorporating visually pleasing products was all part of the end goal.
Process
We start by investigating the type of events being attended, Shetland Fish clients’ they’d be meeting and type of gifts they had in mind before providing ideas and sample products that fitted within the budget available.
Having something to promote the brand and contain important marketing, promotional material and pricing documents in was important. Our suggestion of a bespoke presentation folder, with a pocket capacity, to leave with clients fitted that brief.
To keep the content current, we focussed on the main products that would not change, benefits the company offered and quick distribution service that would always be available. A visual representation of the company’s location is also a unique selling point so a map graphic was created to cover this.
Useful items provided included pens and “post it” pads and a fun, relevant item sourced was a floating keyring holder. Many of the Shetland Fish team and their clients’ are in aquatic environments (working and/or living by or on the sea!).
