Congratulations to Arch Henderson on their first 100 years in operation.

Fittingly the book we have just printed and bound for them is called “The First 100 Years, 1919-2019” and will be of great interest to those in the engineering and architecture industries. With the 28 short chapters taking you from their early years through the various projects they have been involved in up to the present day punctuated with some great sepia, mono and full colour images, the book provides an insight into how the industries have changed over the decades.

This was a short run project for us and printed using our digital printing service so if you have a book you’d like to publish, we’d be happy to help you through the production stages. We’ll offer advice to make it as cost efficient and viable for you to produce. The book is available by contacting Arch Henderson’s Lerwick office.

Please contact us on studio@shetlandtimes.co.uk, call us on 01595 742000 or drop in along our Gremista print shop. Hope to see you soon.

Raise awareness of your business, products, services and events by utilising our design, printing and distribution services.

We love to take your content and create artwork that will catch the attention of readers and let them know more about what you have to offer. Although some businesses assume everyone knows what they do and can provide, we’ve found that it’s always a good plan to remind potential and current customers now and again.

Promoting new or current services, different products, new product lines and offers can often lead to orders being placed or further recognition of what local business can offer. We can also distribute your promotional work throughout Shetland to ensure wide coverage to help get your message across locally.

Supporting business and informing the Shetland community is part of our service and we welcome visitors to call along our print shop or contact us to help get your projects underway. Let’s get going and let everyone know how good your business is and why they should be calling you!

To add a touch of class to any self-adhesive stickers, labelling or badges you are contemplating producing, add our doming service and products to your list when considering how to get the best from your project.

We design, print on gloss white vinyl and then add a mercury free, beautifully clear and durable polyurethane resin dome to create an eye-catching label that’s ideal for most indoor and some outdoor applications. They work best on flat, non-porous surfaces on which they will be splash-proof.

They are great for producing centres for sports trophies too and we can produce centres that have your sports club name to add that bespoke aspect that can be treasured by the recipients for years to come. Adding them to keyrings, bottle openers or tools to add extra personalisation is all possible. We’ve even produced name tags for a Jarl’s Squad Up Helly Aa shields!

To try our customised 3D domed labels on your product drop by to see our sample range and we can discuss your project further.

Designing and producing all the pull up banners for the current Shetland Football Association exhibition running in the Shetland Museum was an enjoyable and education

al project for us. It was an interesting challenge to get all the photos, text, memorabilia and logos to work together in the vertical banner specifications to make reading them an easy and enjoyable experience for all. Our client was very pleased with the outcome, as are were we, and we had a great time reading through each teams history too.

This exhibition is well worth a look, even if you are not an avid football fan, as you’ll most likely find relatives, old friends or be able to reminisce about what went on through the different eras in Shetland.

The pull up banners will be used at various events by the Shetland Football Association after the exhibition closes on in February 2019 and then by the football teams

too. This type of banner is very cost effective and has a good lifespan for ongoing repeat use and are supplied in a carrying case so are very portable too. Contact us to discuss your next exhibition, event, promotional requirement or to highlight a product or service by utilising our large print service.

Enjoy the SFA exhibition.

Following the success of the first book we published in 2o1o for Robert Johnson, Da Wye I Saa It, this is a delightful collection of photographs reminding everyone of Shetland not so distant but already perhaps fading from memory and all most certainly very different from life on the island today.

From the 1960’s through to the 2000’s readers will undoubtedly have memories restored that will stimulate reminiscences.

As the islands most prolific publisher of local books, we are glad to have helped show you a glimpse through the lens of Shetland’s social history. The book is available now from our bookshop https://shop.shetlandtimes.co.uk/products/aa-my-mindin
